University students often face significant stress, and it’s not just a myth. While some may believe that young people can handle it all, research shows that students experience various stressors that can leave them feeling exhausted and overwhelmed.

Lack of self control is one of factors.That is: Studying, taking tests, writing papers and meeting due dates put a lot of psychological pressure and may cause stress. The pressure to book for tuition fees courses, accommodation, and also student loans also adds more pressure on students. Moreover, the student-to-staff ratio is unbalanced; many students do not have any direct social contacts and are experiencing anxiety due to a lack of time for social activities as well as studying.

It is as well noted that many students face anxiety and depression disorders and, according to available literature, there is a high incidence of the same in universities. Lack of sleep, irregular meal patterns and lack of movements also wore stress and fatigue more.

Therefore, it can be seen that stress among university students is severe and not an illusion, as can be detrimental if not entertained. Students should be provided with better support, adequate control of time, and receive appropriate psychological assistance in regard to these difficulties.
